France Protests: More police deployed as arrest of students creates backlash against government


France is bracing for more riots. It’s deploying tens of thousands of police across the nation to contain further protests on Saturday. Video showing the brutal arrest of high school students outside Paris has stirred up anger among protesters. The country’s interior minister said that more than 150 people were arrested in Mantes-la-Jolie, adding that some of them carried weapons. He said none of the students were injured.
