Ariana Grande debuted some new ink on social media, but it appears it doesn’t mean what she thinks it does.
The pop star posted a photo of her new palm tattoo, meant to say “7 Rings!” in Japanese, but fans were quick to point out that the tattoo was misspelled. According to fans fluent in the language, the tattoo actually says “shichirin,” which is a small Japanese barbecue grill.
Grande, 25, deleted the Instagram photo. Still, Twitter has been flooded with reactions to the tattoo and, well, they’re hilarious.
Ariana Grande’s new tattoo “七輪” means Japanese style bbq grill, not 7 rings. 😭 If you want to know about 七輪, just google “SHICHIRIN” pic.twitter.com/HuQM2EwI62
